Cristian Alfonso

Cristian Alfonso has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and project management. Cristian is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Zulu since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager Team Lead at Mercado Libre from 2020 to 2022. Cristian also served as the Application Owner Onboarding at Scotiabank Colpatria from 2020 to 2020. In this role, they led and managed a team of more than 20 people and designed technological solutions for business needs using technologies like JAVA, Angular, Spring Boot, and IBM BPM.

Before that, Cristian worked at Scotiabank Colpatria as a Tech Lead from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for leading the development team in various areas such as CRM, Originación, Broker, and ETL. Cristian also designed and implemented digital affiliation for Colfondos and made architectural decisions for technological solutions. Prior to that, they worked as an Ingeniero de Aplicaciones at Scotiabank Colpatria from 2017 to 2017, where they were responsible for Java, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL development for the Originación system and provided support for the product opening system in the bank.

Cristian has also worked as an Arquitecto de Soluciones at Telefónica from 2016 to 2017, where they defined the architecture of the Movistar mobile application and designed its integration with various systems such as a billing system, valuation system, CRM, and legacy systems. Cristian started their career at Claro Colombia in 2012 as an ENGINEER DOC DATACENTER, where they coordinated changes on different platforms and made decisions necessary for successful change implementation.

Cristian's early career includes working as a Senior Developer Engineer at Global Technology Services GTS S.A. from 2010 to 2012. In this role, they implemented SAP Business Objects for the Gobernación de Cundinamarca, developed a web portal using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery, and created the visit system for ICBF using BPMS Bonitasoft.

Overall, Cristian Alfonso has a strong background in engineering, project management, and technological solutions design, with experience in various industries such as e-commerce, banking, telecommunications, and technology services.

Cristian Alfonso obtained their Master's degree in Architecture of Technology of Information from Universidad de Los Andes from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, specifically in Ingeniera de Software, from Universidad El Bosque, where they studied from 2005 to 2010.
