Kalia Waits-Smith

Kalia Waits-Smith's work experience includes a role as Senior Director of Internal Communications & Employee Engagement at Zuora starting from March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Visa as Director of Employee Communications & Engagement from October 2018 to February 2021. Before that, they held various roles at Cornerstone OnDemand, including Senior Manager of Change Management from February 2016 to October 2018 and Senior Manager of Release Readiness & Communications from August 2012 to 2016. Kalia Waits-Smith completed their education with a focus on business administration and communication and media studies. Kalia first pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies at UCLA from 1999 to 2003. During their undergraduate studies, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Melbourne for a brief period in 2002, further enriching their knowledge in the field.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Kalia went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Operations and Strategy at the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Kalia successfully completed their MBA from 2008 to 2010, further enhancing their expertise in business management.

In addition to their formal education, Kalia Waits-Smith has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2017, they completed the AIM certification program offered by the Implementation Management Associates (IMA). This certification likely focused on implementation management skills. More recently, in February 2021, they obtained a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from eCornell, which suggests their interest in fostering diversity and inclusivity within organizations.
