Serg Martinez Benavides

Serg Martinez Benavides has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Serg began their career at Dextra Technologies as a Project Lead Engineer from 1997 to 1999. Serg then joined Portal Software as a Principal Consultant/Technical Ambassador from 1999 to 2002. Following that, they worked at DataQuick Information Systems, Inc. as a Systems Analyst from 2002 to 2007, where they provided continuous support for the company's billing system and collaborated with different departments to improve business practices.

In 2007, Serg joined IBS Interprit, which later merged with irdeto.com, where they served as a Senior Technical Analyst. During this time, they initiated several projects, including the implementation of IBSv6 for Videocon DTH in India and the design of an integration framework for external systems. Serg then moved on to Oracle, where they worked as a Solutions Architect in the Communications Global Business Unit from 2008 to 2012. In this role, they supported customers in their BRM implementations, designed pricing and revenue solutions, and worked with notable clients such as Rackspace, Dell, and T-Mobile.

From 2012 to 2014, Serg worked at Boingo Wireless as a Lead Billing System Engineer. Serg then joined Intuit as a Staff Business Architect from 2014 to 2017. In this role, they drove functional requirements for financial and revenue recognition initiatives and provided operational support for the QuickBooks Online initiative.

Serg's next role was at Congero Technology Group, where they served as the VP of Engineering and Product Development from 2017 to 2019. Serg led various billing ecosystem initiatives and presented pre-sales efforts on Oracle's billing platforms to prospects.

Currently, Serg works at Zuora, where they have held multiple roles since 2019. Serg started as a Senior Solutions Architect from 2019 to 2020 and then became a Principal Solution Architect from 2020 to 2022. In these roles, they provided architectural guidance and assisted customers in maximizing the value of Zuora's solutions. Serg is currently an Enterprise Solutions Architect, where they continue to guide technology selection, business alignment, and architecture for the quote to revenue process.

Serg Martinez Benavides obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Following this, from 1991 to 1992, they pursued a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. During this program, Serg focused on various subjects including Operations Research, Statistics, Manufacturing DB, and Process Simulation.
