Luc Hopmans

Luc Hopmans is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the banking and insurance industries. Currently serving as a Senior Underwriter Surety at Zurich Insurance since December 2023, Luc manages and originates a portfolio of corporate clients for guarantee and surety facilities. Previously, Luc held various roles at BNP Paribas from September 2009 to November 2023, including Project Manager under the Chief of Staff Office, Corporate Banker for Multinationals, Head of Transaction Banking in South Africa, and (Co) Head of Trade Finance Solutions in the Netherlands. Earlier, from April 1992 to August 2009, Luc worked at ING, where responsibilities included Senior Trade Finance Consultant and Senior Relationship Manager for corporate clients. Luc holds a master's degree in agricultural economics from Wageningen University & Research and completed secondary education at Rijksscholen Gemeenschap Goeree Overflakkee.
