Michael Pecheim

Michael Pecheim has extensive experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as Head of Performance Management & Analytics for Claims and Operations in P&C and Life at Zurich Insurance plc since April 2006. Michael has led a transition towards business consulting, developed tailored reporting for various stakeholders, and aligned claims analytics with pricing and reserving needs. Previous roles at Zurich include Senior Claims Performance Manager, Change Program Director—General Insurance, and Project Manager for Business Unit Transformation in Global Life. Prior to joining Zurich, Michael worked at the Institut für Finanz- und Aktuarwissenschaften in Ulm, specializing in actuarial science and project management across various insurance firms. Michael holds degrees in Mathematical Economics from Ulm University and Mathematics, Economics, and Sociology from the University of Sussex, alongside foundational studies in Mathematics from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
