Adam Koontz

Adam Koontz has a strong background in strategic sourcing and supply chain management. Adam is currently the Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, a position they began in July 2022. Prior to this, Adam held various roles at Zurn Industries, LLC, including Director of Strategic Sourcing & Commodities from September 2021 to July 2022, Category Manager III from August 2020 to September 2021, and Purchasing Manager II from January 2017 to August 2020. Adam'sresponsibilities in these roles included developing strategic sourcing plans, evaluating global market trends, managing supplier relationships, and initiating and leading capital expenditure projects. Before joining Zurn Industries, Adam worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at both the Machine Shop and Cast Iron Foundry divisions of Zurn Industries from 2013 to 2017. Adam also has experience as an Operations Supervisor, where they oversaw the start-up of the electric melt operation at Zurn - Cast metals and managed scheduling, training, and discipline of employees. Adam's work experience includes an internship as an Engineering Intern at Hodge Foundry, Inc. Elyria Foundry, Inc and as a Field Specialist Intern at Schlumberger.

Adam Koontz received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Pennsylvania State University-Erie Campus, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Adam also obtained the certification of Engineer in Training (Fundamentals of Engineering) from the State Registration Board for Professional Engineers in 2012.
