Colin Stearns

Colin Stearns has diverse work experience in the field of web development and software engineering. Colin started their career as a Production Leader at Purdue College of Technology Distance Learning in 2012. Colin then became a Lab Assistant at Purdue ITAP, where they assisted students with various computer-related problems and managed the closing of school buildings and labs.

In 2013, Colin joined Generation Brands as a Junior Web Developer. Colin played a crucial role in creating web tools for internal company use and worked with a team of developers using visual studio source control. Colin also maintained and developed both front-end and back-end code for five websites using C#, JavaScript, Coldfusion, HTML5, and CSS.

In 2015, Colin became a Software Engineer at BuySeasons, Inc. There, they worked in a team of six developers, primarily using .NET and Team Foundation Server. Colin gained experience in project management with a focus on third-party integration and eCommerce.

Colin's next role was as a Back-End Developer at Lightburn in 2016. Colin worked in a team of front-end developers and designers to create e-commerce websites using Kentico's platform. Colin directly collaborated with clients to create tools for asset management, financial reports, and other ticket requests. Colin also learned Azure server management and GIT automatic deploys.

Since 2017, Colin has been working as a Full Stack Developer at Zurn Industries, LLC.
