Michael Schmidt is an accomplished professional with over two decades of experience in product development and market strategy within the metrology industry. Currently serving as Senior Product Development Manager at Zygo since June 2000, Michael monitors market developments and collaborates with key stakeholders to craft innovative metrology solutions. Previously, in roles such as Market Development Manager (Industrial Metrology), European Project Manager, and Senior Application Engineer, Michael has successfully led corporate strategies and acted as a vital liaison between engineering teams and customers. Prior experience includes engineering and technical roles at TRUMPF, Coherent-AMT, and a decade of service in the United States Air Force as a Communications/Navigations Specialist for A-10 Warthog systems.
