Matthew Derrick

Matthew Derrick has seven years of work experience, beginning in 2015. Matthew was an Oceanography Instructor for the Boy Scouts of America from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire. In 2016, they were a Brand Representative at Hollister Co. From 2019 to 2020, they were an Aquarist/Husbandry Assistant at SEA LIFE Aquariums. In 2020, they were a Histotechnician at UCLA Santa Monica Dermatology and a Clinical Laboratory Associate and Health and Safety Officer at The Testing Company. Currently, they are a Research Associate at Zymo Research Corp.

Matthew Derrick obtained their Bachelor of Science in Marine, Estuarine, and Freshwater Biology with a Biomedical Science Minor from the University of New Hampshire between 2016 and 2020. Matthew also obtained two certifications from the American Red Cross, Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED in July 2017, and Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED in May 2016. Currently, they are attending The Johns Hopkins University, where they are pursuing a Master of Science in Biotechnology.
