Kevin Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning a decade. In 2011, they joined the United States Army as an Information Systems Analyst/Operator, where they held positions as an Information Management Officer and Terminal Area Security Officer. During their time in the Army, they maintained Cisco routers, switches and call managers, applied patches to clients and servers in compliance with Army Security Standards, and obtained a CompTIA Security+ Certificate. Kevin was also deployed to operational theater in support of Operation Spartan Shield and Operation Inherent Resolve, and was awarded the U.S. Army Commendation Medal and Achievement Medal. In 2014, they began an internship at Texas State University as a Systems Group Intern, where they were responsible for troubleshooting end-user incidents on workstations and mobile devices, deploying and maintaining Facilities' devices using Microsoft Active Directory, and managing Facilities' webpage using GATO Content Management System. In 2018, they joined H-E-B as a Security Analyst, where they led response to over 500 unique security incidents, developed scripts to decrease incident response time for over 900 incidents by 30%, and implemented Splunk alerts to automate ticket creation successfully for over 100 alerts. In 2021, they began working at CorVel Corporation as a Security Engineer, where they monitored and responded to cyber security related incidents, threats and attacks, designed, implemented and sustained the Incident Response Policy and Plan, and managed the Vulnerability Remediation program. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Zyston LLC as a Cyber Security Program Manager.

Kevin Nguyen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Systems from Texas State University between 2010 and 2018. Kevin also holds a CompTIA Security+ certification.
