Software giant Adobe has transformed digital experiences for decades. It provides creative solutions for various industries and commands a clientele that consists of industry leaders including Coca-Cola, Allianz and T-Mobile.
Founded by Charles Geschke and John Warnock in 1982 and named after the creek behind Warnock’s home in Los Altos, California, Adobe has since grown into a multinational organization with offices in over 30 countries across the globe in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
Currently, the company is led by Chairman, President and CEO Shantanu Narayen. Narayen is an industry veteran who joined Adobe in 1998 as SVP of Product Development after serving at Apple from 1989 to 1995 and starting his own digital photosharing company, Pictra, in 1996. Narayen was named President and COO of Adobe in 2005, CEO in 2007 and Chairman of the board in 2017. Under his leadership, the company has been recognized as one of the top 50 best places to work, and it’s considered one of the most valuable global brands. Narayen has 99% approval from his employees and has been named as one of the top 10 CEOs in the U.S.
Adobe’s creative cloud is one of its most popular products and has been downloaded more than 449 million times. In charge of continuously improving the company’s creative platform is Chief Product Officer and EVP, Creative Cloud, Scott Belsky. Belsky first joined Adobe after it acquired his creative social media platform Behance in 2012. Belsky, who co-founded Behance in 2006, now oversees Adobe’s Design team and actively invests in seed companies.

Overseeing customer engagement is Anil Chakravarthy, EVP and GM, Digital Experience and Worldwide Field Operations. He is responsible for running global enterprise sales and helps customers navigate Adobe’s products more effectively. Previously, Chakravarthy was the CEO of cloud data management tool Informatica, where he served from 2016 to 2019. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India and a Master’s and Ph.D. degree from MIT.
Adobe has been recognized by Bloomberg’s Gender-Equity Index as a company committed to transparency in gender-data reporting, and it scored an impressive 100% on the Disability Equality Index, highlighting its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Leading by example is Gloria Chen, CPO and EVP, Employee Experience. Chen has been with Adobe for over two decades, she has held various positions within the company, most recently serving EVP, Strategy and Growth.
The latest addition to the Adobe executive team is Dan Durn, who was appointed EVP and CFO in October this year. Durn has served as CFO at four semiconductor companies before joining Adobe, including Applied Materials, NXP Semiconductors, NXP Semiconductor and GlobalFoundries. He received an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and has a B.S. in Control Systems Engineering from the U.S. Navy Academy.
Ann Lewnes has held the position of CMO and EVP Corporate Strategy & Development at Adobe for over 15 years. She has played a leading role in pioneering Adobe’s shift to deploying digital marketing technologies. She was named by Forbes as one of the world’s most influential CMO’s in 2021 and has been the driving force behind its unique pandemic campaigns, such as #HonorHeroes.

Leading software development is Abhay Parasnis, Adobe’s CTO and CPO. Parasnis runs all of Adobe’s product engineering, data science and research teams. He also oversees the development of the product vision. He previously served in multiple leadership roles at Microsoft and was most recently a Strategic Advisor for Oracle’s Public Cloud. He has a B.S. in Electronics and Telecommunications from the College of Engineering, Pune.
