Electric vehicle manufacturer Canoo named Ambassador Josette Sheeran as President on July 26, effective immediately. She had presviously served on the Canoo Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee and the Compensation Comittee. The company is actively looking to fill that role.

2. Talkspace Names Erin Boyd as Enterprise Chief Growth Officer

On Thursday, Talkspace that it’s appointing Erin Boyd to Chief Growth Officer, Enterprise, effective August 2. Boyd will be responsible for driving growth and delivering differentiated solutions and capabilities to Talkspace’s Enterprise customers in this newly-created role. It also signals Talkspace’s intention to grow its B2B and enterprise franchises.

3. Headspace Taps Intuit Leader as CTO

Headspace will have a new Chief Technology Officer, Krithika Swaminathan, starting August 11. Swaminathan brings years of tech experience, most recently with Intuit, where she was the VP for Artificial Intelligence. Swaminathan's new role will be critical to help Headspace continue to innovate its platform and further differentiate its services from competitors as it seeks to carve out a larger marketshare.

Marketing Intelligence software startup Clearbit has brought Derek Schlicker on board as its new Chief Financial Officer. Schlicker joins from SaaS GRC provider Quantivate and brings deep financial, operational and M&A expertise to the startup that has grown 50% in 2021 alone.

General Motors has tapped Kent Helfrich as the new head of its venture arm, which invests in automotive-related startups creating solutions that can be leveraged in GM’s vehicles, facilities, and businesses. Helfrich has a lengthy background in electrical engineering and currently serves as GM’s Executive Director of Advanced Technology and Partnerships.
