Microsoft has recruited Manik Gupta, Uber’s former product chief, as its new Corporate Vice President for Teams Consumer, Skype, and GroupMe. Gupta left Uber in 2020 and co-founded CVKey, a non-profit organization aimed at helping communities reopen responsibly from COVID-19.
Twitter has found the leader for its initiative to create a decentralized social network standard, called Bluesky, as Happening founder Jay Graber revealed she had accepted the role in a tweet on Monday.
Lordstown Motors announced that automotive industry veteran and ex-Tesla executive Eric Purcell will join the company as VP of Global Quality. Purcell will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the company’s quality standards ahead of the start of production of the Lordstown Endurance — its new full size, all-electric pickup truck.
Tidal has named Sade Ayodele as the company’s Head of Global Communications, a newly created position. Until now she had been a VP at Taylor, a sports and entertainment focused PR and communications agency.
Modern Health has onboarded Gyre Renwick as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. He was an early employee at Google and was most recently the Chief Revenue Officer at Podium, where he led go-to-market teams.
Upwork, a platform that connects freelancers to businesses, has hired seasoned cloud, mobile and AI executive, Saty Bahadur as its CTO. Prior to joining Upwork, Bahadur was the General Manager of Alexa AI at Amazon.
ForgeRock has selected Cisco’s Tschudy Smith to serve as the company’s new Chief People Officer. Before leading the people operations for Cisco’s Customer Experience, Operations and Global Sales, Marketing and Partner organizations, she was a senior HR leader at AOL/Time Warner and held roles at Netscape Communications.
Sweetgreen has appointed Wouleta Ayele as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective today. Ayele joins Sweetgreen after a 16-year career with Starbucks, where she most recently served as SVP of Technology.
Drift announced Monday that former marketing employee Dave Gerhardt is rejoining the company as its first-ever Chief Brand Officer. Gerhardt comes back to Drift from Privy, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer for the e-commerce marketing brand, which was acquired by Attentive Mobile in June.
Perrone Robotics has hired Joseph Holmes as its VP of Global Business Development. Prior to his new role, Holmes was the Director of Sales for North America at another AV technology startup called EasyMile.
