Derek Ruffner

Derek Ruffner, PLS, is an experienced Survey Technician with a career spanning over a decade in the surveying industry. Currently employed at 1 Alliance Geomatics since January 2018, Derek has previously held positions at Perteet as Field Survey Technician 2 and at Gray & Osborne as Survey Technician, where responsibilities included setting up assignments for field crews, conducting construction staking calculations, performing right of way research, and engaging in both party chief and chainman field work. Additionally, Derek contributed to a large railroad mapping project as a chainman while working for Roth Hill. Prior experience includes a role as a shop assistant at Advanced Vapor Technologies. Derek completed education at Renton Technical College, earning a degree in Field Survey Technician, Surveying.
