Vanessa Patrick

Vanessa Patrick serves as President Elect of the Society for Consumer Psychology, effective March 2024. Currently, Vanessa holds the position of Associate Dean for Research and Bauer Professor of Marketing at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, since May 2009, with earlier roles as Bauer Professor of Marketing and Associate Professor. Additionally, Vanessa is a Business Coach for the 100 Coaches Agency since May 2023 and a Faculty Affiliate at the Rockwell Center on Ethics and Leadership, Hobby School of Public Affairs since February 2021. Vanessa has also been a Fulbright Specialist for the Fulbright Association since March 2019 and served as Chair of the Journal of the Association for Consumer Research Policy Board in 2022. Prior academic positions include Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia and Visiting Professor at Ogilvy in 2005. Vanessa earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Business with a focus on Marketing and Consumer Psychology from the University of Southern California (1999-2004) and holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Mumbai (1993-1995).
