Who are we looking for? 

As Designer/Design Developer, you will work with our customer and production teams with responsibility for the visualisation and design development of best-in-class retail experiences at global scale. You will work as part of a team to provide seamless and connected services to our customers, achieve commercial success and make a positive impact on the environment. 

You will already be an expert in visualisation and design development of brand/retail furniture and will demonstrate strong capabilities in the entire design process, from scoping projects and technical specifications through to working closely with creative ideas and helping to embed a creative culture.

What you'll do:

  • Direct and oversee customer projects to the highest standards of quality and on-time delivery, from visualisation to technical specification stage

  • Seek to innovate and challenge the conventional with new technologies and ways of working.

  • Foster collaboration within your own team and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service execution and customer experience.

  • Integrate our sustainable approach into design development strategies and customer solutions.

  • Ensure commercial success with robust commercial management of projects and the running of your projects.

  • Report key performance data to the relevant management stakeholders.

  • Develop and embed our ‘second purpose’ design development strategies and processes across the business.

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant regulations, accreditations, and risk reduction policies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design solutions and specifications that optimise our full service, global and responsible proposition.

  • Plan and forecast projects and supply chain to meet client demand.

  • Act as an ambassador for and proactively promote the business.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform agency strategies and client recommendations.

What you'll need: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a retail agency
  • HND/BA degree in related design discipline.
  • Experience visualising/design developing both small and large retail experience roll outs, across multiple countries preferable.
  • A thorough understanding of production processes, materials and resource conditions.
  • Excellent software skills in Adobe, Studio Max and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Good commercial awareness, negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of the global retail landscape and the unique challenges and opportunities within sector.
