Joe Maniscalco

Joe Maniscalco is a seasoned journalist and editor with extensive experience in labor reporting and editorial leadership. As the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of Work-Bites.com since September 2022, Joe spearheads content, programming, and design for a grassroots daily labor news outlet. Additionally, Joe serves as a Copyeditor for 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, the largest healthcare union in the U.S., and works as a National Labor Correspondent for DCReport, collaborating with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Cay Johnston. Previously, Joe held roles such as Senior Editor at LaborPress, Inc., where oversight of editorial content and a team of writers was paramount, and contributed freelance articles to various publications, including Kirkus Reviews and Long Island Jewish World. Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Long Island University.
