Dr. Samuel Trautwein

Dr. Samuel Trautwein is a software engineer with experience in Big Data, Enterprise Content Management, and teaching. Dr. Samuel is currently a Senior Software Engineer at 1plusX, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer at ELCA Informatique SA / ELCA Informatik AG from 2018 to 2021, where they worked on large scale input management processes, archiving solutions, and a modular document management framework written in ASP. NET Core, Angular and Java (Spring Boot). From 2009 to 2018, they were a Lecture Organizer and Teaching Assistant at ETH Zurich, where they were the main organizer for large scale lectures in Analysis 1&2 (with 450 students) during the academic years HS14/FS15 and HS16/FS17, managing around 20 assistants and exercise classes, organizing the final exam, and occasionally conducting the lecture.

Dr. Samuel Trautwein has a strong educational background in mathematics. Dr. Samuel obtained a Master of Science (MSc) from ETH Zürich in 2013, after having completed their studies there from 2008 to 2013. In 2012, they completed a research visit at Purdue University in the field of Mathematics. Dr. Samuel also completed a research visit at the National University of Singapore in 2010. In 2018, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from ETH Zürich in Mathematics. In addition, they obtained an AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2021.
