23andMe
Steven Micheletti is an accomplished population geneticist with extensive experience in both academic and research settings. Since July 2018, Steven has held multiple roles at 23andMe, progressing to Senior Scientist in Population Genetics, where impactful genetic studies are conducted. Prior to this, Steven worked as a Geneticist at the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission, focusing on whole-genome sequences of Pacific Northwest fish and leading conservation projects. Academic experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Washington State University, as well as teaching roles in genetics and biology at San Francisco State University and UC Davis. Steven earned a Ph.D. in Biology from Washington State University, a Master’s in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor's in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis.
