Karrabi W. Malin has worked in the education field since 1996. Karrabi W. began their career as a Bilingual Teacher at Arlington ISD in 1996. In 1999, they moved to The University of Texas at Arlington, where they served as Coordinator of Field Experience/Lecturer. In 2004, they joined Grapevine-Colleyville ISD as a Bilingual Teacher. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at Texas Christian University as Director of Clinical Teaching & Community Partnerships, where they collaborated with area school districts and organizations to ensure placements for field placements for classroom observations and clinical teaching, maintained databases on students and teacher candidates for Texas Education Agency documentation, and created and maintained Memorandums of Understanding with 25 School District partners in 3 counties. In 2021, they joined 240 Tutoring, Inc. as Director of Field Experience.

Karrabi W. Malin began their educational journey in 1988 at Lyon College, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. Karrabi W. then continued their studies at Texas Wesleyan University, graduating with a Master's in Bilingual/ESL Education in 1996. In 1998, they completed a Mid-Management Certification (K-12) from The University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in Educational Leadership and Administration. Finally, in 2014, they earned their Doctor of Education - EdD in Higher Education Leadership from Texas Christian University.
