Michael Kuczewski

Michael Kuczewski has a diverse work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Director, Process Data Systems and Statistics at 2seventy bio since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as Director, Process Data Systems and Statistics at the same company from November 2021 to December 2022.

From 2013 to 2021, Michael worked at bluebird bio in various roles. Michael served as the Director, Process Data Systems and Statistics from May 2021 to November 2021. Before that, they worked as the Director, Abecma CMC Lead, where they played a key role in the CAR-T program, including process and analytical method validation, commercial market applications, and managing manufacturing process and site changes. Michael also held the positions of Senior Manager, Manufacturing Science and Technology from July 2017 to May 2018, and Senior Manager, Vector Process Development & Manufacturing from April 2013 to June 2017.

Prior to bluebird bio, Michael worked as a Contract Consultant at BioProcess Technology Consultants, Inc. from October 2012 to March 2013. Michael also had consulting roles at Pronutria from August 2012 to March 2013, and at ChromaTan from June 2012 to October 2012.

In 2011, Michael worked as a Group Leader, Downstream Process Development at Percivia, and from 2006 to 2011, they served as a Scientist I at the same company, where they developed purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and other recombinant proteins.

Michael started their career at Millipore as a Development Engineer II from May 2000 to November 2006.

Throughout their career, Michael has gained extensive experience in process development, manufacturing science and technology, and statistical analysis within the biotech industry.

Michael Kuczewski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1998 to 2002.
