Robert began his legal tech career in 1995, working on time-and-billing software with his mother, Rose Rice, who was one of the first Timeslips consultants in the country. He has been providing law firms with software and business solutions since that time and helps law firms in areas of practice management, and billing systems. In 2008, Robert began laying the groundwork as one of the founding owners and partners for what is now 3545 Consulting. Today, as a Partner, his main role is serving as the Director of the AAC department, where he leads the team working on customization of programming, reporting, and analytics, as well as data conversions. In addition to managing the team, Robert is involved in the many aspects of data manipulation and transformation alongside his team, and strives to help every client find resolutions to even the most problematic challenges.

While his main role focuses on the technical aspects of legal tech, Robert has a passion and understanding of the ethical obligations and challenges law firms face, as well as the struggle to find work/life balance in today’s world. This knowledge, coupled with his years of experience in legal technology, and running his own business, are integral factors in helping law firms identify, improve upon, and harness the technology to bring efficiency to the practice and allow more time outside the workplace.
