Dancan Angwenyi

Dancan Angwenyi has held various positions in the tech industry since 2018. Dancan began their career as an Android Developer at Zaio, followed by a Junior Software Engineer role at Zeraki. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of SayuriAI, a startup that develops smart android and web applications using new technologies such as artificial intelligence. Dancan also held the role of Mastercard Foundation Global Scholars Council, UCT Representative, and Deputy Secretary General and Secretary General of the International Students Forum at the UCT Students' Representative Council. In 2020, they became the Vice Chair of the UCT Student Representative Council and in 2021 they have taken on roles as Co-Founder & CTO of THOLA, Chairperson of the Science Postgraduate Students' Council (SPSC), Infrastructure Engineer at Thinkst Canary, and Junior Software Engineer at Electrum.

Dancan Angwenyi's education history includes a Msc. Scientific Computing from the University of Cape Town between 2020 and 2022, and a Bachelor's Degree in B.sc Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cape Town between 2016 and 2019.
