Tom Severance

Tom Severance is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in criminal investigations and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Bureau Chief at 3SI Security Systems and as a Special Projects/Background Investigator for the Fremont Police Department since October 2022, Tom has previously held a managerial role overseeing Organized Retail Crime investigations at Ulta Beauty. Tom's 26-year tenure at the Fremont Police Department included positions as Police Lieutenant in various capacities, such as Patrol Watch Commander and Investigations Division Commander, managing complex investigations and supervising multiple units. Early experience includes a Deputy Sheriff role at the San Francisco Sheriff's Office. Tom's educational credentials include a degree in Criminal Justice Administration and completion of leadership programs such as the Senior Management Institute for Police and the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute.
