Rob Campanella

VP, Technology at 4G Clinical

Rob Campanella is the current Vice President of Technology at 4G Clinical. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Identity & Access Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from November 2011 to May 2016. In this role, they were responsible for authentication (Kerberos, Open ID Connect), enterprise authorization, and identity systems. From July 2003 to June 2004, Campanella worked as an Application Developer III at Cigna Healthcare, where they developed CRM applications using Siebel (EIM, EAI, Java DataBean), Oracle CRM On-Demand, and other technologies. Rob's favorite projects involved designing/developing/supporting a transactional synchronization solution for keeping sales force iPads in sync with the CRM database, Java-wrapped PL/SQL web service solutions, and the initial migration & multiple interfaces to sync international sales data from on premise CRM with cloud-based CRM. Prior to Cigna Healthcare, Campanella worked as an independent IT contractor to Biogen Idec from June 2004 to November 2011. Rob also has experience as a Senior Consultant at Innoveer Solutions (formerly Akibia Consulting) from May 2000 to July 2003 and as an IT Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers from October 1997 to May 2000.

Rob Campanella graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall and then Dexter School before going on to Duke University where they earned their B.A. in Economics. Later, they pursued their MBA at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business with a focus in Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Rob has received certification from OWASP Boston in Practical Web Application Penetration Testing (PWAPT) as well as certification from Scrum Alliance in Certified Scrum Product Owner and Certified ScrumMaster.
