Karen Biilmann

Karen Biilmann is an accomplished leader in content and digital media, currently serving as Director of Content at 500px since October 2016, where responsibilities include overseeing the stock business, strategic direction for content and user acquisition, sales forecasting, and product development. As the only female member of the Senior Leadership Team, Karen has successfully transitioned the team to remote work while maintaining productivity and growth metrics. Prior roles at 500px include Director of Commercial Content and Senior Art Director & Manager of Content, contributing to significant increases in content delivery rates and exclusive content acquisition. Karen's earlier experience spans roles in photography consultation, art direction, and sales, with a strong educational background in photography and art history from OCAD University and McMaster University.
