Tao Chen

Tao Chen is an experienced professional in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the VP of Machine Learning at 500px since January 2019 and as the Deputy General Manager of the AI Center at Visual China Group since October 2018. Prior to these roles, Tao Chen co-founded and held the position of CTO at Axon Image Inc. from November 2015 until its acquisition in December 2018. Tao Chen's academic background includes postdoctoral research positions at Columbia University in the City of New York, Tel Aviv University, and Tsinghua University, following the attainment of a PhD in Computer Science from Tsinghua University in 2011, where a Bachelor's degree in Fundamental Science Class was also completed from 2002 to 2005.
