John Iino, ACC, CDP, NACD.DC

John Iino has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. John began their career at Brand Farrar & Buxbaum as a Partner before joining Reed Smith LLP in 2001. At Reed Smith LLP, they served as the Managing Partner in Los Angeles and later became the Chief Diversity Officer, where they led efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the legal community. John was also a member of the firm's Global Leadership Team and served on the Executive Committee. In 2020, John founded their own company, Cumbre Alta Advisors, where they continue to serve as the CEO. Additionally, they hold positions on several boards, including the University of Southern California Board of Trustees, the Jonathan Club Board of Directors, and the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors. John is also involved in organizations such as Ascend Leadership and 50/50 Women on Boards, where they advocate for diversity and supports Pan-Asian executives and women in leadership roles. John is also a member of the Board of Advisors for SoundMind, a company dedicated to improving mental health accessibility. Throughout their career, John has been committed to advancing diversity, leadership, and inclusion.

John Iino, ACC, CDP, NACD.DC has a diverse education history. John completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Pomona College from 1980 to 1984. Following that, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Southern California, specializing in law, from 1984 to 1987.

In recent years, they have furthered their education by obtaining various certifications. In 2019, they completed a certification program at iPEC Coaching, where they became a Certified Professional Coach, COR.E Energy Leadership Specialist, and ELI-MP. This program focused on professional coaching certification, executive coaching, business coaching, and leadership coaching.

In the same year, they also obtained a Certified Diversity Professional certification from the Institute for Diversity Certification, focusing on diversity and inclusion.

Aside from their degrees and certifications, John Iino has also earned additional certifications. In November 2020, they received the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation. Additionally, in May 2021, they obtained the Directorship Certified™ certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
