Jeff Muir has worked in the energy industry for over a decade. Jeff began their career in 2011 as a Utility-Scale Solar Project Developer at Belectric, Inc., where they negotiated and closed a $2.5 million development capital loan, $20 million construction financing, and purchase and sale agreements for a portfolio of 4 solar farms totaling 6 MW in southern California. In 2014, they joined Macquarie Group as an Associate, conducting investment due diligence and overseeing the completion of remaining development for the firm's equity investments in development-stage solar, wind, battery storage, and other green infrastructure projects in North America. Jeff was promoted to Vice President in 2017, where they originated, structured and closed and then oversaw completion of remaining development for the firm's equity investments. In 2020, they joined 547 Energy as Director, sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing private equity investments, and working closely with 547 Energy's portfolio companies on various strategic initiatives, M&A transaction evaluation and execution, corporate and project-level financing, capital allocation and exit strategy.
Jeff Muir began their educational journey at Villanova University, where they earned a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a minor in Business, from 2004 to 2008. Jeff then went on to Stanford University, where they earned an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from 2008 to 2009. Lastly, they attended UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they earned a Master of Business Administration - MBA (Part-Time Program) from 2017 to 2020.
