Jessica Alfano

Jessica Alfano, Esq. joined 5AM in April 2020 and serves as corporate counsel to each of the companies being developed in the 4:59 Initiative. Previously, Ms. Alfano was associate corporate counsel at Editas Medicine for two years, where she oversaw corporate contracts and negotiated several major licensing and strategic transactions. Prior to joining Editas, she was an associate in the Life Sciences and IP Transactions groups at Ropes & Gray, LLP. While at Ropes & Gray, she specialized in licensing transactions, SEC compliance and public fundraising for life sciences companies. Ms. Alfano also advised clients on data privacy and security matters and on trademark filings. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Boston College in 2014 and also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Boston College. Ms. Alfano is based in the Boston office.
