Rebecca Lucia

Rebecca Lucia joined 5AM Ventures in 2016 and serves as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Partner. Ms. Lucia has 25 years of experience in venture capital, finance, and the life sciences industry. She was previously the CFO for Prospect Venture Partners, a venture capital firm investing in biotechnology and medical device companies. Ms. Lucia also served as CFO for Asset Management Ventures. She held senior finance positions at CV Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CVTX), Chiron Corporation (Nasdaq: CHIR), and Deloitte. Ms. Lucia earned a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation as well as a Canadian Chartered Accountant (“CA”) designation and received an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of VCBC, a VC industry finance organization. Ms. Lucia is based in the San Francisco, CA office.
