Senior QA Engineer

At 5X our top priority is now to build out the platform. Picture every company using 5X as getting a core stack (Data Ingestion, Warehouse, Modelling & Orchestration and BI) out of the box with user permissions and Utilization insights. We are looking for QA engineers with AI and automation tools expertise to build this platform and be the champion to increase the AI adoption of the team to improve development efficiency. This is a full time role and will report to the Head of Engineering.

• Can identify and evaluate AI tools, frameworks, and libraries that can be integrated into our development workflows to automate repetitive tasks, improve code quality, and streamline development processes.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI tools, techniques, and best practices, and share knowledge and insights with the team.

Role Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product manager) to identify system requirements
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

• 6+ years of work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes like selenium/cucumber
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• This is a remote role based out in India open for Indian citizens.
