Jim Carlson

Jim Carlson has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jim is currently serving as the VP of Radio Technology at 6Harmonics since January 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of CEO and President at Carlson Wireless Technologies Inc from February 1999 to December 2022. Jim also worked as the CEO and Chief Engineer at Carlson Communications / Optaphone Systems from February 1990 to September 1997, and as a Sr. Design Engineer at Carlson Electronics from January 1986 to January 1989. Jim Carlson has a strong background in leadership, engineering, and innovation.

Jim Carlson earned a Certificate in RF IC Design from Portland State University in 1996-1997. Prior to that, they attended Northview High School from 1968 to 1973, where they focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, Jim obtained a FCC General Radiotelephone license from the Federal Communications Commission in 1983. Jim also attended Grand Rapids Community College from 1973 to 1977, but the degree they pursued is not specified.
