Ed Gehres is General Counsel of 777 Partners, where he provides both strategic business advice and legal counsel to its portfolio companies. Mr. Gehres has over 20 years of experience in law and policy, including work as a trial lawyer on several landmark mass torts and products liability cases, innovative work in complex settlements, the design and execution of crisis response and public policy campaigns for highly-regulated industries, and a wealth of experience in the consumer finance industry. Prior to joining 777 Partners, Mr. Gehres was a partner and practice group leader at Van Ness Feldman LLP and before that at Patton Boggs LLP. Mr. Gehres also recently served as outside General Counsel to Think Finance. Mr. Gehres has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
