Tamar Arens-Arad

Tamar Arens-Arad, PhD, currently serves as a member of Cohort #4 at 8400 - The Health Network since March 2021. Previously held the position of VP of R&D at ZOLL Itamar from April 2022 to July 2024 and served as CEO of NeuroIndex from July 2019 to April 2022. Tamar conducted pioneering research in vision restoration during a tenure as a PhD researcher at the Bar Ilan Institute for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at Bar Ilan University from October 2014 to September 2019. Early career experience includes key leadership roles in the Israeli Intelligence Corps and the Israeli Ministry of Defense, focusing on the development of visual intelligence technologies and systems, including UAVs and electro-optic systems. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Vision Science/Neuroscience from Bar-Ilan University, an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, and a BSc in Physics from Tel Aviv University.
