Andrew Cron has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Andrew started their career in 2012 as a Data Scientist at MaxPoint, where they implemented machine learning methods for targeted advertising solutions. Andrew then joined Weinraub Analytics in 2014 as CTO, where they developed technology strategies and infrastructure for a financial startup. In 2015, they joined 84.51° as a Senior Research Scientist, driving decision-making through predictive modeling and collaborating with Duke University. Andrew also worked at Citadel LLC as a Principal Data Scientist, leading the development of tools and achieving high accuracy in labeling and validation of retail transaction datasets. In 2018, they returned to 84.51° as Vice President of Research and Development, focusing on demand forecasting processes. In 2021, they were promoted to SVP, Chief Scientist, leading R&D initiatives and expanding their role to encompass strategy and execution across Kroger. Additionally, they have worked as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Duke University, mentoring graduate students and fostering research collaborations.

Andrew Cron completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Mathematics at the University of South Carolina from 2006 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D in Statistical Science at Duke University from 2009 to 2012. Currently, they are expected to commence an Executive MBA program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2022 to 2024.
