Lorna Young has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Lorna currently holds the position of Head of People Operations at 888holdings since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior HRBP and UK HR Country Lead at The Fertility Partnership from November 2020 to June 2022.

Before joining The Fertility Partnership, Lorna worked at Lucy Group Ltd from June 2017 to June 2022. During their time at Lucy Group, they held the roles of Group HR Business Partner and UK HR Manager. In these positions, they provided strategic and operational expertise, managed complex issues, and championed HR Business Partnering throughout the company.

From 2010 to 2017, Lorna served as the UK HR Manager at TCR UK LIMITED. Lorna was responsible for the HR function across the UK and provided consultation to management on employee relations issues.

Earlier in their career, Lorna held various HR roles, including Regional HR Advisor at Screwfix Direct, HR Advisor at GTECH G2, HR Business Partner at PartyGaming Plc, HR Assistant and Staff Placement Coordinator at NHS Professionals, Store Manager at Going Places, and Sales and Promotions Executive at Fox FM.

Throughout their career, Lorna has demonstrated expertise in HR operations, employee relations, performance management, and strategic business partnering.

Lorna Young has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management with a focus on Employment Law, which they obtained in 2017. In the same year, they also completed a course on IOSH Managing Safely and another course on Employment Law for Business at MBL. Lorna received training on HR Audits - Promoting Best Practice and Ensuring Compliance in 2017 as well. In 2016, Lorna received coaching in HR Strategy. Earlier in their education, they completed a PGDip in Human Resource Management at Oxford Brookes University from 2011 to 2012. Lorna has also obtained various certifications and training in skills such as Influencing and Persuasion, Finance, Train the Trainer, Supervisory Skills, European Employment Law, and ISO 9001 Internal Auditing. Lorna is currently in the process of upgrading their CIPD membership to Chartered status MCIPD. In 2021, Lorna is enrolled in the Business Partner Programme at Disruptive HR.
