Gonzalo Hernández - Sphr® - Emhr

Gonzalo Hernández has over 20 years of experience in various HR roles. Gonzalo has worked as a Chief Human Resources Officer at 99minutos.com since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the People Head at iMile Delivery, where they played a crucial role in establishing the company in Mexico, Chile, and Brazil. Gonzalo was responsible for hiring, creating policies and procedures, salary structures, and training. Gonzalo also supported the organization in legal, finance, procurement, and strategic tasks. Before that, they worked at GEODIS as an HR Director and LATAM HR Project Director, leading the HR team for the Mercado Libre account and managing occupational risks with outsourcing companies. Gonzalo also led strategic HR projects in LATAM. Gonzalo also has experience as a Regional Director of Human Resources at Novo Nordisk, where they managed HR subsystems for the Central America and Caribbean subsidiary and restructured the sales department to improve efficiency and generate cost savings. Gonzalo has also worked at Samsung Electronics, Servier, DaimlerChrysler, Accenture, Panalpina, and CONSULTORES UCAB in various HR leadership positions.

Gonzalo Hernández holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, which they obtained between 1995 and 2000. Gonzalo also completed a Masters in Strategic Human Resources Management from Escuela de Organización Industrial in 2010. In 2015, they received a Diploma of Labor Law from Universidad Interamericana de Panamá. Additionally, they pursued a Specialization in Strategic Management of Human Resources from The George Washington University School of Business between 2017 and 2018. In 2019, they completed a Postgraduate in Coaching, NLP, and Team Leadership from ENEB - Escuela de Negocios Europea de Barcelona. Gonzalo Hernández obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in February 2022. Gonzalo also holds certifications in Remote Work Foundations, Having an Honest Career Conversation with Your Boss, and Strategic Negotiation from LinkedIn, which they obtained in 2020 and 2019, respectively. Additionally, they completed a preparation course for the SHRM-SCP certification from Aden Business School in 2018.
