Melissa Chapman has over 18 years of experience in the IT industry. Melissa began their career in 1991 as Division Director/Senior Technical Advisor/Chief Information Officer at the Food and Drug Administration, Office of Information Resources and Management. In 2002, they became the Chief Information Officer at the US Department of Health and Human Services. In 2003, they joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Principal, where they generated over $100 million in revenue in new and emerging markets/clients over 3 years. In 2006, they became Senior Vice President and Director, Health Solutions Secton at Apptis (now part of URS Corporation). In 2007, they joined General Dynamics Information Technology as Vice President, Division of Civilian and Homeland Security Solutions (CHSS). In 2009, they became Vice President at Agilex Technologies, and in 2011 they joined Social & Scientific Systems as Vice President, Businesss Development. In 2014, they became Principal at The Riverhead Group, and in 2016 they became Vice President, Federal Health Business Development at Salient CRGT. Most recently, in 2018, they became President at 9th Way Insignia.
Melissa Chapman attended Virginia Tech from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
