Alan Murray

Alan Murray is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in insurance and capital markets. Since February 2021, Alan has served as Director at AM Best, focusing on ratings and research for property and casualty, life, annuity, and reinsurance sectors. Prior roles include Senior Vice President at Moody's Investors Service, where Alan chaired global credit/risk committees and led analytics for financial institutions and insurance, managing over 275 accounts across multiple regions. Alan was also recognized for significant contributions to insurance-linked securities initiatives and received the "World Insurance Research of the Year" award. Earlier in his career, Alan worked as a Corporate Actuarial Analyst at AIG, specializing in actuarial analytics and management reporting. Alan holds an A.B. in Theoretical Physics and Cosmology from Cornell University and a certification in Advanced Data Analytics for Executive Decision-making from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
