David Matney has extensive work experience in the field of quality management and engineering. David started their career in 1990 as a Process Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company and worked there until 1995. In 1995, they joined A. O. Smith Corporation, where they started as a Quality Engineer and later became the Quality Assurance Manager. David also served as the SAP Site Lead for a year and then moved on to become the Director of Global Quality. In 2016, they took on the role of Director - Customer Quality at the same company. It is unclear when their employment at A. O. Smith Corporation ended.
David Matney has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in finance, which they obtained from King University in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Technology from East Tennessee State University in 1990. Additionally, in 1988, they completed an Associate Applied Science degree in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from Southwest Virginia Community College. David also holds a certification in ASQ - CQE from ASQ, which they obtained in 1995.
