Jeroen Valensa

Jeroen Valensa is an accomplished legal and technical professional with extensive experience in intellectual property management. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel - Intellectual Property at A. O. Smith Corporation since September 2020, Jeroen directs efforts to secure and defend the corporation's intellectual property, while shaping strategic initiatives in collaboration with business leaders. Previously, Jeroen held various positions at Modine Manufacturing Company from 2001 to April 2020, including Director of Global Intellectual Property, where responsibilities included overseeing global IP assets and leading a team of IP professionals. Jeroen's earlier roles encompass supervisory and engineering positions in research and development, with significant contributions to fuel cell technology and electro-mechanical systems. Jeroen holds a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, alongside Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, respectively.
