George Mayer

Senior Systems Safety Engineer at A-P-T Research

George Mayer has worked in the engineering industry since 1998. George began their career at Dynetics, Inc. as a System Safety Senior Project Management Analyst, where they provided lead support to the U.S. Air Force Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) in the development of the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) and the MOAB Fault Tree Analysis. In 2006, they moved to Gray Research as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they provided Systems Engineering and Systems Safety support to the Space Shuttle Vehicle Propulsion Systems Engineering and Integration (PSE&I) office, the Marshall Safety Engineering Review Panel (MSERP), the Propulsion Systems Integration Group (PSIG), and the PSE&I Main Propulsion Systems (MPS) team. In 2011, George joined APT Research, Inc. as a Senior Systems Safety Engineer, where they served as team lead for APT safety group supporting Redstone Test Center (RTC). George developed a comprehensive safety program that covered all aspects of safety including systems, explosive, occupational and industrial.

George Mayer attended the University of South Alabama from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics. George then attended the Florida Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2016, where they earned a Master of Science in Acquisition and Contract Management.
