Zhenwang Yao has held a variety of positions in the tech industry since 1995. From 1995 to 1998, they worked as a Research Assistant and Software Engineer at GPS Laboratory, USTC. Zhenwang then moved on to become a Software Engineer at USTC iFlyTek from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they became a Software Engineer at Motorola, Global Software Group. From 2002 to 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University. Finally, from 2010 to the present, they have held the roles of VP Of Growth, Director Of Growth, Director Of Engineering, Team Lead, and Software Engineer at A Thinking Ape. As a Software Engineer at A Thinking Ape, they have led the development and launch of multiple games, and has led the live operations for Kingdoms at War, Future Combat, and Party In My Dorm.
Zhenwang Yao obtained a B.A.Sc in Automation from the University of Science and Technology of China between 1993 and 1998. Zhenwang then went on to pursue a M.A.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University between 2002 and 2005. Finally, they completed a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University between 2005 and 2009.
