Mark Matsuura

Mark Matsuura, CPA has extensive work experience in finance, accounting, and consulting. Mark is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at AAFMAA, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President, Finance and Risk at AAFMAA from March 2022 to February 2023, and as the Assistant Controller and Compliance Officer from December 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining AAFMAA, Mark worked as a Senior Management Consultant at A2F Consulting LLC from June 2019 to May 2020. Mark also held the position of Corporate Accounting Manager at VCA Animal Hospitals from March 2015 to February 2017, and as the Accounting and Finance Manager at Vantage Oncology Now Part of The US Oncology Network from April 2013 to March 2015.

Mark began their career at Deloitte, where they worked in various roles from September 2006 to January 2013. Mark served as an Audit Manager from September 2011 to January 2013, as a Senior Auditor from September 2008 to August 2011, and as a Staff Auditor from September 2006 to August 2008.

Mark Matsuura, CPA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Prior to their MBA, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from UCLA. Mark is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the California Board of Accountancy.
