Dr. Shahima Kasim

Dr. Shahima Kasim has a comprehensive work experience in various fields including AI analytics, public health, Ayurveda, and community volunteering. Dr. Shahima currently works as an ML Analyst/Summarizer at The Applied AI Company (AAICO) since May 2023. Previously, they served as a Public Health Scholar at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre from December 2020 to January 2023, where they actively participated in community outreach activities and organized nutritional awareness programs. Additionally, they worked as an Ayurveda Doctor in a private practice from November 2019 to January 2023, providing in-patient and out-patient management and handling hospital data. Dr. Kasim also interned at the National Health Mission in October and November 2022. Furthermore, they served as a Community Volunteer at ICMR-NIRT for the months of February and March 2022. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Doctor at KMCT Ayurveda Hospital from June 2017 to October 2018, gaining experience in patient management and data maintenance. Additionally, they worked as a Content Writer at the Ayurveda Experience from August 2017 to April 2018.

Dr. Shahima Kasim has a diverse education history. Dr. Shahima completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in the field of Public Health from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, spanning from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, in 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Ayurveda Psychiatry from the Kottakkal Ayurveda School of Excellence, specializing in Ayurvedic Medicine/Ayurveda. From 2012 to 2017, Dr. Kasim pursued their Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and surgery degree in Ayurvedic Medicine/Ayurveda at KMCT Ayurveda Medical College.

In terms of their earlier education, Dr. Kasim earned their High School Diploma in Biology, General from CSM Central School in 2011.
