Valerie Hudgins has a diverse work experience spanning over the years. Valerie began their career in 1994 as a Sales Professional at Zeckendorf Development, where they worked until 1998. After that, they joined Shape Shifters Corporate Wellness as a Sales Professional and worked until 2002. In 2003, Valerie worked as a Job Developer/Job Coach at Ross Learning, LLC until 2005 when they transitioned to Cintas as a Sales Professional until 2006. In 2007, they joined Partnerships To Work as a Workforce Development Contractor/Operations Director, where they stayed until 2019. Valerie then joined AARP Foundation in 2017 as an Executive Project Director, overseeing operations for non-profit state and federal workforce development agencies. Additionally, they co-founded and served as the President of Inner City Community Advocates (Non-profit) from 2008 to 2016. Throughout their professional journey, Valerie has gained expertise in various areas such as curricula creation, workshop facilitation, career coaching, and sales.
Valerie Hudgins has an education history that includes attending Temple University from 1988 to 1991, where they studied Broadcast Journalism. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1988, Hudgins attended Grand Rapids Community College, where they pursued Liberal Arts. In addition to their formal education, Hudgins has obtained certifications including being a graduate of the Grand Rapids Organization for Women (GROW), completing training with the International Forum for Leadership (IFLP), and participating in Project Blueprint with the United Way of America.
