Chuck Manto has a diverse and extensive work experience. Chuck (Charles) is currently working as a Construction & Skilled Trades Talent Consultant at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. Starting from 2011, Chuck founded the InfraGard National Disaster Resilience Council, focusing on high-impact low frequency events that could cause a collapse of critical infrastructure. In 2003, they became the CEO and owner of IAN, which integrates services for EMP-protected microgrid systems. Prior to that, they held the position of VP of Next Generation Network Processes at Z-Tel Communications in 2000 and was the Sr VP Operations at Picus Communications in 1999. Chuck also served as the VP of Business Development at Vista Information Technology in 1998, and played a key role in industrial defense conversion at Federal Systems Group from 1993 to 1995. Chuck (Charles) served as the Executive Director at Marquette County MI Economic Development Corporation from 1988 to 1992, where they led various infrastructure studies and fundraising efforts. Before that, Chuck worked at Gartner as part of the Venture Capital Service, evaluating high tech companies. In 1981, they founded Comptech, Inc, which developed mass storage subsystems and was involved in systems integration. Overall, Chuck's work experience ranges across various industries, including telecommunications, defense, economic development, and venture capital.
Chuck (Charles) Manto obtained their high school diploma from Lane Tech. After completing their high school education, they attended the University of IL at Urbana/Champaign, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from 1973 to 1975. Following that, they furthered their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Medieval History from 1977 to 1979.
