Syed Abdur Rakib

Syed Abdur Rakib has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Syed Abdur started their career at Creato BD, an Advertising Farm, where they worked as a Script Writer & Event Manager from March 2008 to December 2008. Syed Abdur then joined Bank Asia Limited as a Trainee Officer in January 2009 and later served as a Banking Officer from July 2010 to December 2011. Syed Abdur continued their journey at Bank Asia Limited as an Assistant Officer from January 2012 to April 2013.

In 2013, Syed Abdur Rakib joined Midland Bank Ltd. and held various positions within the Agent Banking Division. Syed Abdur started as an Officer in May 2013 and worked until December 2015. Syed Abdur then served as an Executive Officer from January 2016 to December 2017, and later as a Senior Executive Officer from January 2018 to January 2021. Syed Abdur concluded their tenure at Midland Bank Ltd. as the In-charge of the Agent Banking Division from January 2021 to February 2021.

Following their time at Midland Bank Ltd., Syed Abdur Rakib worked at Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited as the Regional Head of Agent Banking from February 2021 to May 2023. Currently, they are employed at AB Bank Limited, holding the position of Head of Agent Banking Business & Acquisitions since May 2023.

Syed Abdur Rakib's education history includes obtaining a Master's degree in Marketing from SBPGC Under NU of Bangladesh from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the same institution. Additionally, in 2001 and 2002, they attended Siddeshwari University College and received an HSC degree in Business Studies.

In terms of additional certifications, Syed Abdur Rakib completed a training program on Retail/Home Loan/SME/Credit Card Through Agent Banking Network from Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited in July 2022. Syed Abdur also obtained a certification in Overall Banking Product and Services of DBBL from the same institution in March 2021. In August 2019, they participated in a Cyber Security & Awareness Program conducted by Midland Bank Ltd. Furthermore, in September 2015, they attended a seminar titled "Digital Marketing Landscape & Its Opportunities" organized by The Daily Bonik Barta.
