Devan Moodley

Devan Moodley is a highly experienced immunologist and scientific leader, currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Clinical Sciences at Abata Therapeutics since June 2021, where responsibilities include driving scientific strategy for engineered Treg cell therapy and overseeing Nonclinical and Translational Medicine departments. Prior to this role, Devan held the position of Senior Director and Head of Immunology, managing the TCR Discovery team for multiple programs. Previous experience includes serving as Principal Scientist at Surface Oncology Inc. and Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School. With a PhD in Immunology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Devan is dedicated to advancing science in Africa through mentorship and collaborative research projects.
